Bruny Island
The SeaLink Bruny Island Ferry service operates 365 days per year. The ferry crossing to and from Bruny Island takes just 20 minutes. The ferry departs from Kettering (from Tasmania), which is located 35 minutes from Hobart by road, and Roberts Point (from Bruny Island).
Bruny Island sits on 362 KMs, an Island located on the southern of Tasmania. The island is joined by a narrow isthmus called The Neck, where it’s divided into two parts between North Bruny and South Bruny. Both areas have different charateristics where South Bruny seems a little greener than North Bruny. Dennes point is the popular destination in North while South offers different landscape of hills and rainforest and has a range of National Parks, state reserves, and number of popular beaches and destinations such as Alonnah, known as the “ main town” and Adventure Bay.
Access to Bruny Island is by the Ferry which departs from Kettering. This is about 45 minutes drive from the Hobart Airport. The Ferry ride is approximately 15 minutes.
